First Choice is developing two Adult Family Homes in the Bellevue/Kirkland area.
First Choice will soon offer outstanding Adult Family Home living and a commitment to the quality life experiences residents and their family members should expect. By extending services to a small number of residents in a familiar, home-like surrounding with high-quality, individualized, full-time supervision, our goal is to achieve the best in adult family home care.
First Choice is currently developing two types of Adult Family Homes. The first will be designed specifically for providing exceptional care to seniors. The second will be designed to provide an Adult Family Home environment for young adults with functional disabilities.
Our Adult Family Home Services will include:
- 24 hour personalized care
- Three nutritious home-cooked meals and frequent snacks with dietary modifications
- Daily assistance with bathing, dressing and medication monitoring
- Diabetic, stroke, oxygen dependent care
- Incontinence care management and continence training/Foley Catheter management
- Companionship, emotional support to residents and families
- Housekeeping, personal laundry and linens
- Medication supervision
- Frequent communication with physicians and families
- Professional charting
- Weekly vital signs - blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight
- Registered nurse on call
- 24-hour awake staff

Licenses and Training:
- Washington State licensed adult family home
- Specialty care license for Dementia/Alzheimer's
- All Home Care Aides providing care services have completed training in the Fundamentals of Caregiving, CPR, First Aid, Nurse Delegation and 10 hours annual Continuing Education and background history and reference checks
- Registered Nurse (RN) delegation to assist with medication, health assistance and care plans
